The AWE CNY Gathering

In Chinese culture, setting intentions for the New Year is more than just making a statement—it is about defining a clear direction and commitment for one’s life and business in the year ahead. AWE warmly invites you, at the turn of the season, to join an afternoon that blends calligraphy with meaningful dialogue. Together, through the practice of intention-setting, we plant a clear and powerful seed for both ourselves and our businesses on the path of the better economy.

During the session, we will begin with a short guided reflection to help participants clarify their personal and business aspirations for the year. Through calligraphy, you will write a word or phrase that represents your intention, transforming inner aspirations into a tangible piece of art to take back to your office or home—a reminder and companion throughout the year. There will also be a relaxed networking session, creating a warm and open space for members from different sectors to connect, exchange ideas, and spark future collaboration within the better economy framework.

Specially invited by the Hong Kong Art Exchange Association, a senior instructor from the Hong Kong Calligraphy Academy will present an exclusive cultural gathering for AWE members—“New Year Intention Setting.”

Rooted in the tradition of New Year intention-setting and the spirit of calligraphy, this gathering invites participants to experience the deeper meaning of “expressing the Way through words and guiding action through intention.” It weaves together personal cultivation, corporate responsibility, and the values of the better economy.

Participants will choose a word or short phrase that captures their core vision for the year—whether in business transformation, social impact, or personal growth. The calligraphy instructor will then create a bespoke scroll on-site, turning your intention into an elegant ink artwork. This scroll can be displayed in your office or personal space as a lasting symbol—one that invites reflection, offers guidance, and keeps your purpose in focus throughout the year.

The event includes festive refreshments, calligraphy tools, and materials. Spaces are limited, and advance registration is required.
